A big rowdy group of us Alaskans converged on Minneapolis last month for the wedding of a friend and his lovely fiance'. First of all, I really liked the "Mini Apple" -- downtown Minneapolis was easy to get around and the people were friendly (a plus when you come from a fairly friendly town like Anchorage.)

The whole time we kept hearing comments like, "wow, you Alaskans are crazy!" and "you Alaska people know how to party!" from the other wedding guests. Which is funny, because, umm, this was like a normal weekend out for us. It seems that we garnered quite the reputation! Good to know that we're a fun group.

On our way to catch the light rail to the airport we stopped by to enjoy a bit of the green grass with the cutest little egg-man sculpture I've ever seen.

D couldn't make it, but someone had to wait hand and foot on the puppy while I was gone, and I'm pretty sure he at least fed the cats every few days. :-) Nice trip, but it was great to be home.
