No sign of spring here

Saturday was one long snow day -- big, wet flakes blanketed the area and we ended up with about five inches.

Fur Rondy also started this weekend...it's basically a 10 day citywide winter celebration, hearkening back to the old days when fur trappers would converge on Anchorage to sell their wares, hence the name "Fur Rendevous." A couple people we know even ended up running with the reindeer!

yeah, i wanted to go to the fur rondy. the first day, friday, i got there late to see the dog sled races, the second day, saturday, i was too busy trying to mail packages home, plus the snow did not help. I did not get to see anything, except the lines to get a sled dog ride. if it wasn't snowing that hard i would have done it. sunday, well sunday i had to rest from saturday night. overall, i hope to be here for next year's fur rondy or at least the 2011 one.

PD: i like your dog, but it really makes me miss mine.
