A day in PWS 2

We went out to the Sound with the intention of fishing for silvers, but it appears that they're running a week or two late. Mim and I pulled in a few pinks that we didn't keep - those are just too mushy and oily for our taste. If you buy canned salmon at the grocery store, look closely at the label because it may be canned pinks. Reds are best for canning and taste infinitely better than pinks!


At one point we came upon some playful porpoises that swam along the side and in front of the boat.

Fog, fog, go away.

The water was calm all day - that almost never happens so we were all very thankful for the flat seas. It enabled us to motor out farther than we usually go for a day trip.
