We usually see moose in the yard a few times each winter. Even though moose are huge beasts and very tall, I'm always amazed that they manage to scale the high fences in Anchorage neighborhoods. This one was hanging out next door and perfectly content to bed down for a while.

Although moose roam city streets and neighborhoods, they are still wild animals and not to be messed with. A
little boy was kicked by a moose last week and
this idiot tried to pet one in Town Square. Sigh.
